Jeans have been around for years and years and have also been fashionable and appealed to all kinds of age groups and sexes but while they basically remain the same there are so many minor additions or alterations that have been made to them in order that they keep up with the times and the trends.

We have seen them in all shapes and sizes. There was the straight leg, the bell bottom leg or now called the boot leg, the tight leg and the baggy leg. Then there was a time, during the hippy years when the trouser legs had flowers painted onto them. We next had them look as if they had faded in the sun, then they were torn in strategic places like the knees or just below your backside! They were then made to look as if they had permanent wrinkles and lately they are starting to be given more glamorous treatments so that they look more elegant for the more classical woman to wear.
The latest ones come with lots of ‘bling’ once again, usually placed on the back pockets or down the sides of the trouser legs in the form of crests or crowns embroidered in silver or gold thread and with Swarovski crystals or stones stitched into the motif.
